Every knitted style is created through the vision of bringing life to the material. Different dimensions are created by the bodies that wear them. Like sculptures, they showcase different stories for every style. With thin and shadowlike materials, the pieces frame the body and its real shape is brought to life by its owner.

Drawing on a rich culture of Danish design and craftsmanship, each piece is produced in Denmark, Ireland, and Italy to ensure the level of quality and sense of responsibility that is inevitable for the future of fashion. This also allows each collection to maintain the level of artistic quality and feel of craftsmanship as well as push what is possible for knitwear production.

Each style is engineered and created to minimize waste, and for some styles zero waste, for the production to have a natural responsibility in mind throughout the entire process, using high-quality European materials such as Italian cotton and German monofilament.

Pushing the material and constantly trying to develop new techniques she makes all of her developments and samples on domestic knitting machines in Copenhagen.

We believe that the fashion of tomorrow needs to focus on its strengths and therefore we create collections that cover the categories we truly believe in and the material that allows us to create. It is all about creating everlasting pieces and staples to have in your wardrobe for a long time – the versatility in the styles and opportunity to use above, underneath, or alone creates different looks within each style. We love to see our customers create unique looks with our designs.

We constantly try to activate old samples and swatches in our creative process, we use our full stock of materials and treasure our relationship with our partners a lot as they make it possible for us to elevate the way we produce knitwear better. This is a constant process for us and something that is integrated into our process from the start of designing.

Sustainability is an undeniable part of our present and future, and we take it into account during each part of our process—from the construction and design of our collections to the production and sourcing of materials.

Each A. ROEGE HOVE piece is developed in our studio in Copenhagen and carefully produced by our cooperative knit factories located in Umbria, Italy, and Kildare, Ireland, under fair working conditions to ensure a high level of quality and sense of responsibility that is inevitable for the future of fashion. It allows each collection to maintain the artistic quality and feel of craftsmanship and push the boundaries of possibilities in knitwear production.

All A. ROEGE HOVE designs are knitted directly into shape, meaning there is no cut-and-sew and very little waste. We wish to take full advantage of the craft of knitting, even through production, where it can be difficult to avoid waste in terms of leftover yarn. Each piece produced in Italy is made with a “no waste” production model. This model offers production with material waste close to zero by having a 10% tolerance in terms of delivered quantities—a tolerance we are willing to risk to ensure less production waste.

We only use multi-certified cotton from Emilcotoni and Iafil.

Unsold items and old samples are utilized for re-work collections each year and are re-made into new pieces. We design for longevity and aim to increase the quality and value of our products economically and materially.

Many of our styles are designed for versatility. We encourage our customers to wear and style their A. ROEGE HOVE pieces in different ways, allowing the items to stay relevant in a changing wardrobe.

Our next big goal in terms of sustainability is to source an alternative for our nylon yarn. Nylon has become an irreplaceable, and undeniable part of our expression and design DNA. Therefore, we have a responsibility to find a re-generated or recycled alternative.
